How You Can help Increase Awareness

This video is the first step in raising awareness, but to have a successful campaign your help is vital. We suggest you use the video in your practice the following ways:

Community

• Offer the video and yourself as a speaker to community associations, health meetings, senior organizations and church groups
• Contact local organizations that deal with the visually impaired
• Schedule a lecture at a local senior center
• Post the videos on your practice web page

Media

• Contact local health reporters (both print and broadcast) and schedule interviews
• Write and submit articles to community newspapers and medical publications
• Invite the local media to attend an educational seminar held at your office or the local medical facility

Professionals

• Schedule an in-house lecture at the local medical facility and invite medical staff, local medical professionals and residents to attend
• Offer to speak at your local public health meeting, medical state society or county medical society meeting
• Distribute the video link to local primary care physicians, who may refer patients to you
• Contact local medical schools
