When we began hosting a 5K "Run for the Retina" event to raise funds for the ARF two years ago, we had no idea how popular this event would become. This year, we are gearing up for our best run yet, to be held in New York City during the ASRS Annual Meeting, on Friday, October 2nd, at 6:00 a.m. in New York's Central Park.

In order to make the most of this opportunity, our run will be directed by several marathon experts who will lead participants along picturesque, off-the-beaten-trail paths in Central Park that are especially favored by runners.

As with previous runs, we'll have commemorative t-shirts, bottled water and refreshments available for everyone who participates. The run will be timed and there will be awards for the top three finishers in both the men's and women's categories. Staff will be provided to guide runners from the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers to the starting line in Central Park.

Please note:
Due to the logistics of organizing a run in a major city and popular park, we are limiting registration to the first 100 runners who register. If your plans have changed, please cancel your registration to make room for other runners.
