    An AMD Educational kit was recently sent out to all ASRS members from the American Retina Foundation in January; this marks the first step of the American Retina Foundation AMD Awareness Campaign.
  • Another Success for the American Retina Foundation
    The 2003 American Society of Retina Specialist meeting in New York City was another big success this year for the American Retina Foundation.
  • Foundation Receives Major Grant
    The American Retina Foundation has begun its first major public education outreach initiative regarding early recognition and prevention of macular degeneration. Seeking a major benefactor of this initiative, Alcon Laboratories and the ICAPS Ocular Vitamin Consumer Division have come forward on the Foundation's request and will generously provide a $100,000 grant to the Foundation for this project.
  • Call for Contributions
    Recently, the annual dues for The Vitreous Society were sent out to members with a $25 voluntary contribution for The American Retina Foundation. If you'd like to further your support for the Foundation, we encourage you to become a Founding Donor. A Founding Donor is a Society Member who contributes $2000 or more to The American Retina Foundation.
  • Members Support the Foundation
    The 2002 Retina Congress was extremely successful for the Vitreous Society Foundation. The Foundation, a charitable arm of the Vitreous Society, raised over $46,000 from the Silent Auction and individual contributions received on site from donors.
