Message from the Past-Chairman, Dr. Roy Levit

Since the inception of the Vitreous Foundation, which later became the present day American Retina Foundation, I have been honored to be its chairman. I have enjoyed working for the foundation, but recently have made a personal decision to step down from my position and relinquish my seat on the board.

By opening up a position on the board, another member with new ideas will be empowered to complement the efforts of the existing group of excellent physicians now serving on the ARF board. While my decision was not an easy one to make, I feel it is in the best interest of our organization.

I will always be available to provide institutional memory and to offer advice, if asked. I want to thank the American Society of Retina Specialists and its members for their support of the foundation throughout the years, and I hope this support will continue. Most importantly, I want to thank all of you for allowing me the opportunity to be of service to the retinal community during my time on the board of the American Retina Foundation.

Sincerely,
Dr. Roy Levit
