Grants from the Foundation

Funding and supporting research is a primary mission of the Foundation. We promote critical research and education in the treatment and prevention of retina disease. Since January 2009, we have awarded grants in the amount of $10,000 or less to the following organizations:

  • Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology
  • NJ Academy of Ophthalmology
  • North Carolina Medical Society
  • Houston Ophthalmological Society
  • Florida Society of Ophthalmology
  • Pacific Vision Foundation
  • California Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons
  • Retina Associates of Cleveland, Inc.

We encourage all interested parties to apply online for grants related to Age-related Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy, or Neovascular Eye Disease. Visit our grant information page to review the criteria for research grants. ARF research grants can be made in amounts up to $15,000 to fund original research in Macular Degeneration. Medical education, community outreach, and travel grants are not currently available.
