Saving Vision Is Our Mission

Dear Visitors,
I want to extend a warm welcome to all new and returning visitors to the Foundation of the American Society of Retina Specialists homepage. The Foundation and its parent organization, the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS), endeavor to support practitioners and patients in all aspects of vitreoretinal care.

The Foundation serves as the charitable arm for ASRS, the preeminent global organization for retina specialists with more than 2,400 members practicing in 55 countries.
Please take a moment to peruse this site and learn about our mission, grants program, patient and physician resources, and our awareness efforts regarding the cause of age-related macular degeneration.

In my new role, I look forward to promoting strategic initiatives and developing mutually supportive programs for the Foundation and ASRS organizations. I also extend thanks to Dr. Roy Levit for his essential leadership as the Foundation's founding chairman and I look forward to working alongside the Foundation's newly-inducted president, Dr. Mark Hammer.
If you take interest in vitreoretinal care, please become active in our community and join us in our mission to save vision.

Sincerely,
Suber S. Huang, MD, MBA
